Job Description - Chief of Party
Position: Chief of Party, Nepal Health and Hygiene Activity “Swachchhata”
Start Date: September 15, 2020
Location: Kathmandu/Nepalgunj, Nepal
Responsibilities:
The Chief of Party (COP) will provide overall leadership, management, and technical direction for the program. Primary responsibilities will include efficient management of financial resources, including the review and approval of program budgets and monitoring expenditures; supervision of field operations, administration, logistics, and procurement; management, delivery, and monitoring of sub-grants; and supervision of program monitoring, evaluation, and reporting to ensure quality control and timeliness of all deliverables. The COP will work directly with USAID and will be a key liaison to implementing partners and other relevant stakeholders. The COP will ensure full compliance with all USAID, SNV USA, and other fiduciary regulations and will oversee the project reporting process in line with donor requirements.

Job Specification - Chief of Party
- Education : Masters
- Experience : 10 years
- Professional Skill : Problem Solving, Time Management, Critical Thinking, Communication, Interpersonal
- Specification Detail
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in public health or a relevant technical field.
- At least 10 years of relevant management, supervisory, and technical experience working with programs that are of a similar scope and scale to this program.
- At least 5 years of experience in health and/or WASH sectors, preferably in similar development contexts as Nepal.
- Ample experience in program design, policy dialogue, strategic planning, and implementation, both at a national policy and grassroots levels.
- Experience and demonstrated capacity to build and sustain partnerships to achieve development results.
- Experience with Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) is preferred.
- Experience as a senior level professional in a USAID-funded project is preferred.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and proficiency in Nepali is preferred.
