Job Description - Django Developer
Job Overview:
Nerd Platoon, A Qodemedia R&D Team, is looking for a full-time experienced Python/Django Developer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.
You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application.
Responsibilities:
- Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
- Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performance
- Efficient applications
- Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with
- Server side logic
- Implementation of security and data protection
- Integration of data storage solutions
- Collaborate in an Agile scrum team with Project Manager & other Software Engineers
- Maintain detailed documentation of all programming/development work
- Perform code reviews and participate in defining & ensuring adherence to coding standards
Timings:
- 5PM to 1AM ( 3:30pm – 11:30pm during lockdown)

Job Specification - Django Developer
- Education : Bachelor
- Experience : 2 years
- Professional Skill : Python/Django, ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries and Django Querysets
- Specification Detail
- Minimum 2+ years of experience working with Python/Django
- Well familiar with ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries and Django Querysets
- Good understanding of Object Oriented concepts
- Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes
- Experience working with PostgreSQL and MongoDB including both designing and maintaining large datasets.
- Fair understanding of building RESTful APIs using Django Rest Framework
- Knowledge of WebSockets and its implementation using Django Channels in real-world projects
- Good understanding of server-side templating languages (Jinja 2, Mako, etc)
- Experience working with Celery and RabbitMQ
- Worked with Django application deployment on AWS and GCP platforms
- Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
- Good understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Experience with event-driven programming in Python
- Understanding of accessibility and security compliance
- Strong unit test and debugging skills
- Proficient understanding of Git/GitLab, JIRA
- Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Effective verbal and written communications skills
Preferred Skills:
- Conceptual understanding of DevOps, Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Ansible will be an added benefit
- Working experience in NumPy, Pandas, Keras will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of VueJS/ReactJS will be a plus point
