The USAID-funded Health and Hygiene Activity (Swachchhata) is a $4.9 million, five-year activity (2016-2021) with the overall purpose of improving community health status through improved integration of hygiene practices in health services in Nepal. Swachchhata works in coordination with relevant Government of Nepal Ministries and rural municipalities to improve water and electricity supply, medical waste management, and infection prevention measures at health facilities in Province 5 and 6.
